Bhushundi Asks for the Unbroken Devotion Sought by Yogis and Sages

Bhushundi names his boon. Give me the pure and ceaseless devotion praised by the Shrutis and Puranas, the devotion sought by great yogis and sages yet received only through your grace.
He addresses Rama as the wish-fulfilling tree of devotees, the one always inclined toward those who bow, the ocean of compassion, and the abode of bliss. Each name becomes part of the asking because the gift cannot be separated from the giver.
The crow requests no mastery over the worlds he has seen and no escape into liberation. He asks for Rama's own bhakti, given through mercy. The prayer rises from exact discrimination: devotion is not one blessing beside other blessings. It is the living relation in which knowledge, freedom, and happiness find their sweetness. Beneath the gaze of Bala Rama, Bhushundi chooses the treasure that makes even eternity an opportunity to love.
Offered every realm and release from every realm, Bhushundi asks only never to cease loving Rama.

अबिरल भगति बिसुध्द तव श्रुति पुरान जो गाव। जेहि खोजत जोगीस मुनि प्रभु प्रसाद कोउ पाव।।84(क)।। भगत कल्पतरु प्रनत हित कृपा सिंधु सुख धाम। सोइ निज भगति मोहि प्रभु देहु दया करि राम।।84(ख)।।
That pure, unbroken abhirati bhakti (unwavering devotion) which the Shrutis and Puranas sing, which great Yogishvaras and munis seek, and which one attains only by Your prasada (grace). O Bhakta-Kalpataru (wish-fulfilling tree for devotees), ever inclined toward Your devotees' welfare, O Kripa-Sindhu (ocean of compassion), O Sukha-Dhama (abode of all bliss), grant me, O Rama, that very bhakti of Yours, through Your daya (mercy).
