Uma restates the mystery with exact care. Bhushundi is wholly devoted to Rama, absorbed in knowledge, rich in every virtue, and steady in understanding.
Nothing in this inward portrait suggests smallness, agitation, or spiritual immaturity. Yet the body through which this wisdom speaks is the body of a crow.
Why, she asks Shiva, did he receive that form? The question refuses the easy assumption that embodiment transparently displays merit. Karma, grace, history, and devotion have woven a form whose meaning cannot be read from feathers alone. Uma asks the Lord of the universe to unfold the hidden cause, preparing the listener to meet Bhushundi without reducing him either to an animal body or to an abstract symbol.
Uma asks for the history beneath the feathers, knowing that a crow's shape cannot explain the sage who speaks through it.
