The four Kumaras stand before Rama, whom they name supreme bliss, dwelling place of compassion, and fulfiller of the heart's deepest longing.
They have known absorption in Brahman through ages beyond counting. Yet when the moment of asking comes, they do not seek another world, subtler knowledge, greater power, or release from embodiment.
Give us loving devotion that never diminishes, O Sri Rama. The entire prayer narrows into that single boon. Knowledge bows toward love without being rejected, and liberation is contained within a devotion that cannot be lost. The ancient children ask to remain forever new at Rama's feet, where fulfillment is not the ending of longing but the transfiguration of longing into unbroken prema.
Those ancient in Brahman ask to become forever young in the unfailing love of Rama's feet.
Read the passage from the Manas
परमानंद कृपायतन मन परिपूरन काम। प्रेम भगति अनपायनी देहु हमहि श्रीराम।।34।।
O Shri Rama, abode of supreme bliss, dwelling-place of grace, fulfiller of every longing of the heart, grant us unfailing loving devotion that shall never fade.
