The company of saints opens toward liberation. Near those whose lives rest in truth and devotion, the heart receives a direction beyond the revolving road of birth and death.
The company of those consumed by craving points the other way. What one repeatedly sits beside begins to shape desire, judgment, speech, and action until association becomes a path through the world.
This is not one speaker's private opinion. Saints, poets, learned teachers, the Vedas, the Puranas, and worthy scriptures speak with one voice. Satsang is not an ornament added after sadhana. Company is itself a force of formation. Each presence quietly teaches the heart what to love, and what the heart learns to love determines the road beneath its feet.
Every companionship is already a road, and the heart travels toward the reality honored by those beside it.
Read the passage from the Manas
संत संग अपबर्ग कर कामी भव कर पंथ। कहहि संत कबि कोबिद श्रुति पुरान सदग्रंथ।।33।।
The company of saints leads to liberation. The company of the lustful leads to the cycle of rebirth. So say the saints, the poets, the learned ones, the Vedas, the Puranas, and all true scriptures.
