Shiva Asks for Only Two Treasures and Returns to Kailasa

Shiva gathers his great hymn into one repeated request. Grant me, O radiant Lord, unfailing devotion to your lotus feet and the company of the holy forever.
He asks again and again, joyfully, as though no celestial power, subtle knowledge, or divine station could equal these two treasures. Love for Rama and life among saints are the boon the Lord of Uma chooses before the crowned king.
Having sung Rama's qualities, Shiva departs in happiness for Kailasa. The vast heavenly praise recedes, and the narrative returns to the companions who crossed the ocean and fought in Lanka. Rama provides the vanaras with delightful dwellings and every kind of comfort. The Lord who receives a god's devotion now tends the rest of his servants, giving each a place to rest within Ayodhya. Coronation does not carry him away from hospitality. Glory settles into the quiet care of guests.
Shiva carries devotion and satsang toward Kailasa, while Rama turns from cosmic praise to preparing a resting place for his friends.

बार बार बर मागउँ हरषि देहु श्रीरंग। पद सरोज अनपायनी भगति सदा सतसंग।।14(क)।। बरनि उमापति राम गुन हरषि गए कैलास। तब प्रभु कपिन्ह दिवाए सब बिधि सुखप्रद बास।।14(ख)।।
Again and again I ask this boon. Joyfully grant it, O Sri Ranga: Unfailing devotion to your lotus feet, and the company of the holy, always. 14(ka) Having sung Rama's glories, the Lord of Uma departed gladly for Kailasa. Then the Lord provided all the monkeys with every comfort and a delightful dwelling. 14(kha)
