Maya makes the whole world dance, and no being has fully traced the mystery of her movement. Yet at the mere play of Rama's eyebrow, she dances like an actress accompanied by her entire troupe. The power that appears to govern all is itself governed effortlessly.
Bhushundi reveals Rama as the dense fullness of Sat-Chit-Ananda, unborn, the form of supreme knowledge, and the abode of strength. He is all-pervading, indivisible, infinite, and possessed of unfailing power. Beyond qualities, beyond measure, and beyond speech, he sees all and remains unconquered.
He is without possessiveness, form, or delusion, eternal and stainless, the treasure of bliss beyond Prakriti, dwelling in every heart as desireless, passionless, imperishable Brahman. Where could delusion arise in him? The question is answered by radiance rather than argument. Darkness cannot remain before the sun. Rama's apparent bewilderment belongs to sacred enactment, not to any shadow within his being.
The world dances beneath maya, maya dances beneath Rama's brow, and in Rama himself no darkness has ever found a place to stand.
Read the passage from the Manas
That Maya which makes the entire world dance, whose true nature no one has fathomed. That very Prabhu, O Khagaraja, at the mere play of His eyebrow, makes her dance like an actress with her whole troupe. That same Rama is Sachchidananda Ghana: the dense mass of Existence-Consciousness-Bliss, unborn, the very form of Vijnana (supreme knowledge) and the abode of all power. He is all-pervading yet pervaded by none, indivisible and infinite, the Bhagavan of infallible shakti. He is beyond gunas, immeasurable, beyond the reach of speech. The all-seeing, faultless, unconquerable One. Without attachment, formless, free from moha. Eternal, niranjana (untainted), the very treasure-house of bliss. The Lord who transcends Prakriti, who dwells in every heart. The desireless Brahman, passionless and imperishable. Here there is no cause for moha. Can darkness ever stand before the sun?
