The skillful vanaras complete their task. The sacrifice lies destroyed, and they pass safely out of Lanka after entering its palace without fear.
Their movement ends where their service began. They return to Raghupati, carrying neither the broken fire nor the spectacle of their daring as a possession. Success is brought back into the presence of the Lord who sent them.
From the opposite side, Ravana sets forth in fury. He has seen his rite ruined and has abandoned hope of life. The Doha balances the two journeys with quiet exactness. Rama's servants come home to their refuge after danger, while the king departs from home stripped even of expectation. One movement is return, the other an exit toward death, and both advance into the final field under the law of the allegiance each has chosen.
The servants return safely to Rama at the very moment Ravana leaves Lanka with no hope of returning.

Having destroyed the yajna, the skillful monkeys returned safely to Raghupati's side. The demon lord set forth in fury, abandoning all hope of life.
