No Auspicious Sign Can Give Peace to a Heart Turned From Rama

The verse asks whether prosperity can truly belong to one who delights in harming living beings. Possessions may remain, armies may march, and royal ornaments may still shine, yet none of these establishes well being.
Delusion governs such a heart. Turned away from Rama and attached to desire, it cannot receive an auspicious sign because every sign is interpreted through the force that refuses its own welfare.
Peace does not visit even in dreams. This is more than punishment arriving from outside. Hostility, moha, and estrangement from the Lord shape the inner world in which rest would need to appear. Ravana's omens therefore reveal the condition already within him. The sleepless kingdom around the king is the outward landscape of a mind that will not return to its source.
When the heart turns from Rama, even a kingdom cannot purchase the single quiet place in which an auspicious sign could land.

Can one who delights in harming others, who is lost in moha and turned away from Rama, ever know true prosperity, auspicious omens, or peace of mind, even in dreams?
