Rama's lament passes through the listening vanara host. Warriors who endured weapons and darkness become distressed before the sound of their Lord grieving over his silent brother.
Compassion fills the camp. Every eye rests upon Rama and Lakshmana, and the half night seems held within pathos with no movement yet visible from the distant mountain.
Then Hanuman arrives. The poet does not compare him merely to speed, wind, or returning hope. He comes like the heroic rasa arising in the midst of compassion itself. Valor does not cancel sorrow or rebuke it. It emerges from sorrow carrying the power to act. Above Hanuman rests the mountain, and within the grieving assembly a new spiritual mood rises, ready to transform tears into remedy.
Hanuman enters the camp as courage born from compassion, carrying action into the heart of Rama's tears.

Hearing the Lord's anguished lament, the monkey hosts grew troubled and distressed. Then Hanuman arrived, like heroic valor rising in the midst of compassion.
