Meghnad hears the report of vanaras breaking again around the fortress. The promise made in Ravana's council now calls him from words into the morning he claimed as the theatre of his power.
He comes to secure the fort and descends from its height as a warrior renowned through heaven and Lanka. The battlements release Ravana's son toward the field while defenders draw courage from his arrival.
War drums sound as he advances directly toward the enemy. Their beat announces more than reinforcement. The master of celestial weapons and illusion has entered the open battle, carrying the confidence that briefly restored his father's heart. Across the ground, monkeys and bears face the descending champion while his rhythm passes from the stone walls into the ranks below.
Meghnad walks down from Lanka behind the thunder of drums, ready to make dawn answer the promise of night.

Hearing this report, Meghnad came and stormed the fortress once more. The brave warrior descended from the citadel and advanced to face them, beating his war drums.
