Under the light restored by Rama's arrow, the demon force breaks into many fates. Some lie slain upon the field, while others remain wounded amid shattered weapons and trampled earth.
Those who can still flee climb back toward the fortress, seeking the height and enclosure from which the battle began. The darkness that protected their illusion has vanished, leaving the walls as their last visible refuge.
Bears and monkeys stand below and roar. The sound carries the certainty returned with the light, shaking the remaining strength of Ravana's army. Moments earlier the vanaras could not see one another and called out in confusion. Now their voices join again, no longer searching but proclaiming. The enemy retreats upward while Rama's host regains the field through sight, fellowship, and thunderous courage.
When Rama restores the light, scattered cries become one roar and Lanka's remaining strength begins to shake.
