Angada moves through the gathered demons as a lion walks into a herd of elephants crazed with rut. Number and size surround him, but the comparison gives fear to the multitude rather than the solitary prince.
His courage does not require contempt for courtly order. He bows his head and takes the seat assigned within the assembly. The gesture offers Ravana no inward submission, for Angada's mind remains fixed upon the glory of Rama.
Remembered majesty becomes a hidden throne beneath the envoy. Ravana may command the palace, but he cannot determine where Angada's allegiance rests or from whom his fearlessness flows. A bowed head and a lion's bearing occupy the same body because humility before Rama has removed the need to posture before anyone else.
Angada bows in Ravana's hall without leaving the sovereignty of Rama for even one breath.

As a lion walks fearlessly into a herd of maddened elephants, so Angada, remembering the glory of Shri Rama, bowed his head and took his seat in the court.
