Bharata's Truth Filled Prayer Awakens Hanuman From the Arrow

The arrow strikes, and Hanuman falls unconscious to the earth while remembering Rama, Rama, Lord of the Raghus. Bharata hears the beloved Name and runs anxiously toward the fallen monkey. He gathers Hanuman to his heart and tries in many ways to wake him.
When no response comes, Bharata's face loses color and tears fill his eyes. The fate that separated me from Rama has given me this terrible grief as well, he laments. Then he places the truth of his whole life into a prayer.
If mind, speech, and body bear guileless love for Rama's lotus feet, and if Raghupati is gracious toward me, let this monkey be freed from pain and weariness. The words reach the place where force cannot. Hanuman opens his eyes, sits upright, and cries victory to the Lord of Kosala. Bharata's concealed devotion has become visible as healing power.
Bharata releases the truth of his love, and Hanuman rises where the prince's arrow had brought him down.

परेउ मुरुछि महि लागत सायक। सुमिरत राम राम रघुनायक।। सुनि प्रिय बचन भरत तब धाए। कपि समीप अति आतुर आए।। बिकल बिलोकि कीस उर लावा। जागत नहिं बहु भाँति जगावा।। मुख मलीन मन भए दुखारी। कहत बचन भरि लोचन बारी।। जेहिं बिधि राम बिमुख मोहि कीन्हा। तेहिं पुनि यह दारुन दुख दीन्हा।। जौं मोरें मन बच अरु काया। प्रीति राम पद कमल अमाया।। तौ कपि होउ बिगत श्रम सूला। जौं मो पर रघुपति अनुकूला।। सुनत बचन उठि बैठ कपीसा। कहि जय जयति कोसलाधीसा।।
He fell unconscious to the ground as the arrow struck, remembering Rama, Rama, the Lord of the Raghus. Hearing these beloved words, Bharata rushed forward and came very anxiously near the monkey. Seeing the monkey in distress, he clasped him to his heart, but though he tried in many ways, he would not awaken. With face pale and heart full of sorrow, he spoke these words, his eyes brimming with tears. The same fate that turned me away from Rama has now given me this terrible grief. If in my mind, speech, and body there is sincere love for Rama's lotus feet, free of all deceit, then may this monkey be freed from pain and suffering, if Lord Raghupati is gracious toward me. Hearing these words, the monkey king arose and sat up, crying 'Victory, all victory to the Lord of Kosala!'
