The Lord Takes Form by His Own Will, and His Devotees Renounce Even Liberation

Jambavan's teaching continues beside the ocean. The Lord is not forced into birth. By his own will he assumes a manifest form within the world.
He comes for the sake of the gods, the earth, the cows, and the Brahmins. The human-seeming prince for whom the monkeys search is the unborn Brahman freely entering his own creation.
Those devoted to his saguna form remain in his company and give up even moksha. Liberation itself is set aside for the sweetness of service, presence, and love. The servants sitting upon kusha grass possess a fortune greater than escape from existence: they have been admitted into Rama's living work.
The saguna devotee lets liberation pass in order to remain where Rama's work is being done.

निज इच्छा प्रभु अवतरइ सुर महि गो द्विज लागि। सगुन उपासक संग तहँ रहहिं मोच्छ सब त्यागि।।26।।
By His own sweet will the Lord incarnates for the sake of the gods, the earth, the cows, and the devoted. Those who worship His manifest form stay with Him forever, renouncing even liberation itself.
