The moon of Gadhi's lineage travels away from Ayodhya. Behind him remain the splendour of Ram, Dasharatha's devotion, the fourfold wedding, and a city still bright with jubilation.
Vishwamitra praises each wonder within his heart. The sage whose guidance made the journey possible does not carry pride away from its fulfilment.
His inward praise completes the relationship between tapas and grace. He offered discipline, protection, and direction; now he receives delight in the Lord whose leela passed through his service. The road grows quiet around him, but remembrance keeps the wedding music alive within.
Along the departing road, Vishwamitra carries Ayodhya's celebration as praise within the heart.
Read the passage from the Manas
राम रूपु भूपति भगति ब्याहु उछाहु अनंदु। जात सराहत मनहिं मन मुदित गाधिकुलचंदु।।360।।
Rama's beauty, the king's devotion, the wedding, the jubilation, the bliss: the moon of Gadhi's lineage departed, praising all these within his heart.
