The wedding procession advances through blessed resting places, pausing where provisions and welcome await. At every halt, the presence of the four couples brings joy to people gathered along the road.
Day follows auspicious day until Ayodhya's outskirts rise ahead. The long arc from Vishwamitra's first request through Mithila's wedding splendour now bends toward home.
The threshold of the city holds anticipation from both directions. Travellers carry the fullness of what has occurred, while those within Ayodhya wait to behold sons returning with brides. The journey has not ended, but the first sight of home gathers distance, memory, and promise into one bright horizon.
At an auspicious hour, Ayodhya appears ahead like a waiting lamp at the end of the wedding road.
