Love overwhelms the entire family, yet the auspicious moment continues to move. Janaka recognizes the appointed hour within the tide of emotion and turns toward the duty that only he can complete.
One by one the princesses are seated in their adorned palanquins. Curtains, jewels, bearers, and waiting relatives gather around the threshold between their childhood home and the road to Ayodhya.
Janaka invokes Siddhi and Ganesha, asking fulfilment and the remover of obstacles to attend the journey. The prayer does not erase grief. It gives grief a sacred direction, placing the daughters' passage under auspicious protection. A father's hands release while his invocation continues to accompany what he loves.
With Siddhi and Ganesha remembered, Janaka turns tearful separation into an auspicious beginning.
