At the auspicious hour, Ram sets out joyfully with his brothers toward Janaka's palace. The four sons of the solar line cross the wedding city together, their purpose now changed from celebration to formal farewell.
The road is familiar from days of honour and festivity, yet every step carries a new gravity. They go not because affection has diminished, but because dharma gives even blessed gatherings their proper completion.
Ram leads with the grace of one who understands both households. Behind the ceremonial request lies tenderness for the mothers who must entrust their daughters and for the city that has claimed the princes as beloved guests. The brothers approach the palace bearing joy, reverence, and the first visible movement toward departure.
