Ayodhya's king looks upon all four sons seated with their brides. The family once divided by journey and longing now appears complete in a new form.
They resemble the four fruits of righteous action gathered around Dasharatha, jewel among rulers. Dharma has ripened not into abstraction but into eight youthful lives joined through sacred relationship.
The father does not calculate past merit while he gazes. Delight itself reveals the fruit. Every service, vow, worship, protection, and act of righteousness seems to have taken a face within the mandap. Dasharatha receives no solitary reward; his blessing is relational, multiplied through sons, daughters, marriages, and two houses now bound.

The lord of Ayodhya gazed with delight at all his sons together with their brides, as though the four fruits of righteous action adorned this jewel among kings.
