Cries of victory rise beside the bards' praise, Vedic chant, auspicious song, and the layered beat of drums. Every form of sacred and festive sound meets around the circling pair.
The wise gods hear and rejoice. From heaven's wish-fulfilling trees they gather blossoms and shower them into the mandap.
Earth offers mantra, music, lineage, and voice; heaven answers with flowers born beyond ordinary season. The wedding rounds join the two realms just as they join Sita and Ram. Each step around the fire becomes a centre toward which sound rises and petals fall, enclosing the bride and bridegroom within a living sphere of blessing.
Mantra and drum rise from the mandap while wish-fulfilling blossoms descend around the circling pair.
