A multitude of lovely women surrounds Sita, each richly adorned and radiant within the wedding procession. Yet her natural beauty remains unmistakable at the centre.
She appears as graceful Beauty itself walking among its many expressions, the living source beside forms that would elsewhere seem incomparable.
Ornament does not create her splendour, and contrast does not diminish her companions. Their collective loveliness becomes the field through which her unique radiance is revealed. Like one flame among jewels that all reflect it differently, Sita moves toward Ram as the principle of beauty hidden within every beautiful face and now made visible in one bride.
Surrounded by beauty, Sita shines not as its rival but as its living source.

Among that multitude of lovely women, naturally beautiful Sita shone forth like graceful Beauty herself, radiant and enchanting, in the midst of her fair companions.
