Shiva stands with Uma and looks repeatedly upon Ram from crown to foot. One glance cannot exhaust the form, so the gaze begins again each time it reaches the end.
All fifteen eyes become dear in this hour, each another opening through which the Lord may be received. Tears gather across them while ecstatic tremors move over Shiva's body.
The teacher who recalled the gods from distraction now enters contemplation more completely than any of them. His steadiness does not mean dryness. True recollection releases love through every eye and limb. Beside Uma, Purari beholds the bridegroom and lets the sacred spectacle become inward worship.
Fifteen eyes return again and again to Ram, and every one of them fills with love.

Gazing again and again at Rama's beauty, exquisite from head to toe, Purari stood with Uma, his body thrilling and his eyes brimming with tears.
