The omens are filled with auspiciousness, welfare, and the power to grant what the heart desires. None appears isolated or ambiguous along the wedding route.
It is as though every sign preserved in tradition has waited for this purpose and now becomes true at the same hour. Meaning gathers from all sides around the marriage of Sita and Ram.
Ordinarily people look toward omens for assurance about an uncertain future. Here the future is so sacred that the signs themselves seem fulfilled by serving it. They do not make the union auspicious. The union gives each omen its fullest opportunity to reveal what auspiciousness has always meant.
The signs do not bless the marriage so much as the marriage fulfils the promise hidden in every sign.

मंगलमय कल्यानमय अभिमत फल दातार। जनु सब साचे होन हित भए सगुन एक बार।।303।।
Full of blessing, full of welfare, granting every heart's desire: it was as though all the omens came true at once for the sake of this sacred purpose alone.
