Dasharatha joyfully seats Guru Vasishtha upon the first beautiful chariot. Wisdom takes the leading place before royal power begins its journey.
The king mounts the other vehicle only after remembering Shiva, his guru, Gauri, and Ganesha. Invocation gathers divine protection around wheels, horses, family, and purpose.
The gesture completes the order of departure. Teacher before king, remembrance before movement, blessing before road. Dasharatha travels toward his son as emperor and father, yet he enters the chariot as a devotee. Around him the vast procession waits, and within him the names of the divine make the first unseen advance toward Mithila.
Vasishtha leads, Dasharatha remembers the gods, and the wedding road opens beneath sacred order.

तेहिं रथ रुचिर बसिष्ठ कहुँ हरषि चढ़ाइ नरेसु। आपु चढ़ेउ स्पंदन सुमिरि हर गुर गौरि गनेसु।।301।।
The king joyfully seated Guru Vasishtha upon that beautiful chariot. He himself mounted the other vehicle, remembering Shiva (Har), his Guru, Gauri, and Ganesha.
