The essential union has already been declared by the broken bow and Sita's garland. Still, fulfilment does not discard the human forms through which families honour one another.
Vishwamitra instructs Janaka to consult Brahmins, elders, and the family guru. The customs known to the Vedas must now guide each public step.
Grace precedes order, then willingly enters it. Ram has not needed ceremony to become Sita's destined bridegroom, yet ceremony will let Ayodhya and Mithila receive that truth together. The verse gives tradition neither the first word nor an empty role. It becomes the vessel through which a divine certainty is shared, witnessed, blessed, and woven into the lives of two royal houses.
What heaven has accomplished in an instant now enters the patient hands of elders and sacred custom.

Nevertheless, you should now go and carry out the customary traditions of your family. Consult the learned brahmins, the family elders, and the guru, and follow the customs prescribed in the Vedas.
