Shiva's bow had become a ship crowded with every doubt, fear, boast, grief, and hidden arrogance in the pavilion. Each burden boarded it under the spell of delusion, trusting the ancient weapon to carry its claim.

Ram's arm strength was the ocean before that ship. When the bow broke, the vessel itself divided and everything lodged upon it lost support.

The kings' pride, Janaka's despair, Sita's anguish, and the assembly's uncertainty sink together. No separate struggle is needed for each. One touch destroys the form on which they depended. What appeared to be a contest of strength becomes the ending of a collective enchantment, drowned in the immeasurable power of Raghubara.

The bow breaks, and every delusion that trusted it disappears beneath Ram's boundless sea.

Read the passage from the Manas

संकर चापु जहाजु सागरु रघुबर बाहुबलु। बूड़ सो सकल समाजु चढ़ा जो प्रथमहिं मोह बस।।261।।

Shankara's bow was the ship; the ocean was the arm-strength of Raghubara (Rama). All the company that had boarded that ship in the grip of delusion now sank and drowned.
