Janaka's servants move through the swelling crowd with gentle, courteous words. Order is created without harshness as excitement presses every person toward the best possible view.
Men and women, distinguished and ordinary, wealthy and humble, prominent and small are each guided to the proper place. Garments rustle along the rising galleries, and no part of Mithila is excluded from witnessing the ceremony.
The arranged tiers become an image of a whole society gathered around Ram and Sita. Difference remains, but everyone is given a seat within the shared darshan. The pavilion fills without losing dignity.
From noble gallery to humble seat, every part of Mithila finds its place before Ram.

कहि मृदु बचन बिनीत तिन्ह बैठारे नर नारि। उत्तम मध्यम नीच लघु निज निज थल अनुहारि।।240।।
Speaking gentle and courteous words, they seated every man and woman, the distinguished and the middling, the humble and the small, each in their own proper place.
