At that moment Ram and Lakshmana step forward from the bower. Leaves and flowering vines part around their shoulders, releasing the forms Sita had searched for.
The brothers shine like two spotless moons emerging from behind a veil of cloud. One carries the depth of the dark sky, the other the fairness of moonlight, yet both radiate one harmonious beauty.
Concealment becomes revelation in a single step. The creepers that delayed Sita's sight now frame it, and the garden seems to present the brothers to her as carefully as a curtain drawn from a sacred image.
The flowering veil opens, and two spotless moons step into Sita's sight.
