Ram praises Sita's beauty inwardly. No public exclamation disturbs the first sight; appreciation remains within the clear chamber of his heart.
He also reflects upon his own condition. The joy, stillness, and unexpected agitation are noticed without confusion, neither denied nor allowed to become careless impulse.
Then he turns toward Lakshmana. The words arise from a pure mind and suit the moment exactly. The Lord will disclose what he has seen and felt to the brother whose companionship makes even this intimate recognition part of dharma. The garden remains quiet around their confidence.
Holding Sita's beauty within, Ram turns to the brother who knows his heart.

सिय सोभा हियँ बरनि प्रभु आपनि दसा बिचारि। बोले सुचि मन अनुज सन बचन समय अनुहारि।।230।।
Having praised Sita's beauty within His heart and reflecting upon His own condition, the Lord spoke to His younger brother with a pure mind and words befitting the moment.
