The Katha names Kumukha, Akampana, Kulisharada, Dhumaketu, and Atikaya among Ravana's host. Each stands not merely as one fighter within an army, but as a force capable of conquering the world alone.

Their bodies, weapons, disciplines, and powers gather beneath Lanka's standards. Around them stretch further ranks of mighty warriors too numerous for a complete account.

Ravana's confidence is therefore not empty boasting. Fortress, boons, brothers, sons, and world conquering commanders make opposition appear impossible. The scale of his host deepens the future wonder that forest exiles and vanaras will stand against it.

Five commanders stand beneath Lanka's banners, and each appears vast enough to darken the earth.

Kumukha, Akampana, Kulisharada, Dhumaketu, Atikaya: each one alone could conquer the entire world. Such was his host of mighty warriors.
