Ekatanu tells the king exactly how recognition will occur. He will come wearing the priest's familiar appearance, every visible sign arranged to pass through the palace without suspicion.

Pratapbhanu must know the hidden sage beneath that face. In public, the visitor remains guru and priest. In solitude, the king is to call him aside, where the entire plan will be explained.

The instruction makes secrecy feel like proof of intimacy. A private revelation will distinguish the chosen king from everyone deceived by the outer form. Yet the very act of recognizing a counterfeit as trusted guide will complete the enemy's entrance.

Pratapbhanu is taught to welcome deception by recognizing it as a secret friend.

Read the passage from the Manas

मैं आउब सोइ बेषु धरि पहिचानेहु तब मोहि। जब एकांत बोलाइ सब कथा सुनावौं तोहि।।169।।

I shall come wearing that very same disguise. Recognize me then. When you call me aside into solitude, I shall tell you the entire plan.
