Shiva gathers the episode into the long purpose of incarnation. In one kalpa, the curse upon the ganas becomes the reason Vishnu accepts a human body and enters the limits of earthly time.
The descent brings delight to the gods and happiness to the virtuous, those whose lives have bent beneath the rule of destructive power. The Lord does not merely defeat two enemies. His presence restores the courage of heaven and the breath of those who remain faithful to dharma.
The earth herself is relieved of burden. The weight of violent kingdoms, conquered worlds, and accumulated fear begins to lift when the infinite consents to walk upon her soil as a man.
The burdened earth feels the first promise of the human footsteps of Ram.

एक कलप एहि हेतु प्रभु लीन्ह मनुज अवतार। सुर रंजन सज्जन सुखद हरि भंजन भुबि भार।।139।।
In one kalpa, for this very reason, the Lord took incarnation in human form: to delight the gods, to bring happiness to the virtuous, and to relieve the earth of her burden.
