Among the gathered guests move two attendants of Shiva. They have taken the outward appearance of brahmins, their true nature hidden beneath simple robes and the manner of learned visitors.
Unlike the kings, courtiers, and hopeful sage, the ganas understand the whole secret. They know whose Maya raised the city, what form Hari has granted Narada, and why compassion has chosen this strange disguise.
Supremely playful, they wander through the swayamvara ground watching the divine sport unfold. Their knowledge does not make them solemn. Amusement gathers between them as Narada moves proudly among the seats, certain that every eye beholds the splendour he requested.
Behind their brahmin robes, two ganas watch the hidden medicine of Hari begin to work.

रहे तहाँ दुइ रुद्र गन ते जानहिं सब भेउ। बिप्रबेष देखत फिरहिं परम कौतुकी तेउ।।133।।
Two of Shiva's ganas were present there; they knew the whole secret. Disguised as Brahmins, those supremely playful ones wandered about, watching the sport unfold.
