The gods cannot be delivered while Vrinda's vow protects Jalandhara. The Lord therefore enters the crisis through stratagem. What no weapon can pierce is undone by a hidden act, and the work of the devas is accomplished.

Then Vrinda learns the secret. The shelter of trust breaks around her, and the meaning of what has happened arrives with terrible clarity. Grief kindles into anger, and her tapasya gives force to every word that rises.

She pronounces a curse upon the Lord. The deceiving act used for cosmic protection now plants a consequence within a future age. Divine play does not discard the wounded voice. It receives her words and carries them toward fulfilment.

Vrinda discovers the secret, and her curse crosses the ages toward the birth of Ram.

By a stratagem, the Lord broke his (Narada's) vow and accomplished the work of the devas. When Narada discovered the secret, he gave a curse in anger.
