Brahma reveals the one opening in Taraka's protection. The asura cannot be destroyed by the forces already arrayed against him.

A son born from Shambhu and Shakti will meet him in battle and bring the oppression to an end. The future warrior, Kartikeya, exists first as a necessity spoken before the wounded gods.

Parvati's private vow and Shiva's reluctant return to marriage now reveal a cosmic dimension. Their union will not only fulfil devotion. It will restore freedom to the worlds. Heaven waits upon a wedding not yet arranged. The devas lift their eyes.

Before the son is conceived, his spear appears in Brahma's prophecy.

Read the passage from the Manas

सब सन कहा बुझाइ बिधि दनुज निधन तब होइ। संभु सुक्र संभूत सुत एहि जीतइ रन सोइ।।82।।

Brahma explained to all: "The destruction of the demons will come to pass only when a son born of Shambhu and Shakti defeats them in battle."
