Parvati tells Mena of a dream. Within it appeared an excellent Brahmin, beautiful and radiant, his fair form clear against the inward night.
He offered the same teaching the mother has come struggling to deliver. The path of austerity was not merely a parental decision or Narada's distant counsel. It arrived again through the subtle country of sleep.
By speaking of the dream, Uma comforts Mena and quietly reveals that her own will already moves toward the forest. The instruction has found its home before the mother can utter it.
The dream figure fades, leaving the word tapasya luminous in Parvati's heart.

सुनहि मातु मैं दीख अस सपन सुनावउँ तोहि। सुंदर गौर सुबिप्रबर अस उपदेसेउ मोहि।।72।।
Parvati said: "Listen, Mother, let me tell you of a dream I saw. A beautiful, fair-complexioned Brahmin of great excellence appeared and gave me this very teaching."
