Sati remains supremely pure and cannot simply be cast away. Yet the form she assumed has crossed a sacred boundary within Shiva's devotion, and to continue as before would make love itself an act against dharma.
No easy judgment resolves the conflict. Purity, fidelity, compassion, and spiritual truth pull upon the same heart. Mahesh refuses to turn his anguish into accusation.
He speaks nothing of the offence. The silence protects Sati from blame, but within Shiva the pain grows deeper because it has nowhere outward to go. Compassion makes the inward fire harder, not easier, to bear.
No harsh word crosses Shiva's lips, and the whole sorrow burns within.

She is supremely pure and cannot be forsaken, yet to hold her in love after her deception is a grave sin. Mahesha speaks nothing aloud, but immense anguish burns within his heart.
