Saints declare one discipline with the authority of lived truth, and the Vedas, Puranas, and sages confirm it. The heart cannot become clear in discernment while it keeps a hidden chamber closed before the Guru.
Concealment protects confusion from the very light that could dissolve it. The disciple may bring polished words, correct posture, and learned answers, yet what remains unspoken continues to shape the inward world from darkness.
Bharadvaja chooses truth over appearance. By exposing the doubt, he creates the opening through which viveka can enter. Only honesty can bring it there.
The sealed chamber opens, and the Guru's light reaches the place doubt had occupied.

संत कहहि असि नीति प्रभु श्रुति पुरान मुनि गाव। होइ न बिमल बिबेक उर गुर सन किएँ दुराव।।45।।
Saints declare this principle, and the Vedas, Puranas, and sages sing of it: pure viveka does not arise in the heart if one conceals anything from the Guru.
