The ninth day of Chaitra's bright fortnight arrives in the Abhijit muhurta beloved of Hari. It is midday, yet neither heat nor cold troubles the air. A pure, peaceful stillness gives rest to every world.
Cool fragrant breezes move gently. Forests flower, mountains appear jewelled, and rivers run like streams of nectar. Brahma recognizes the hour, and gods mount their celestial vehicles toward the clear sky above Ayodhya.
Gandharvas sing while flowers descend from joined divine hands. Heavenly drums resound. Serpents, sages, and gods offer praise and many forms of service. Creation gathers above the city, attending the final breath before the Lord of the universe enters human sight.
At peaceful midday, flower filled heaven gathers over Ayodhya and waits.

The ninth tithi, Navami. The sacred month of Chaitra. The bright fortnight. The Abhijit muhurta, beloved of Hari. Midday it was, neither too cold nor too warm. That holy hour when all the worlds rest in stillness.
