The Name is uttered, and the Named turns toward it in love. Ram gives the syllables their living truth, while the syllables make Ram present to the heart. Neither competes with the other. They meet like recognition passing between two beloved faces across a crowded room.
Name and form are the beginningless signs through which the Lord allows himself to be known. A form may stand before the eyes, yet without its name the mind cannot hold or summon it. When the form is absent, the name enters the inward chamber and kindles its image there. Sound becomes a threshold through which the unseen Beloved arrives.
Between the measureless nirguna and the beautiful saguna, the Name stands as a wise interpreter. It does not divide the formless from the form. It reveals one Reality shining as both, silence becoming intimacy without ceasing to be silence.
The lips speak Ram, and the unseen form enters the heart.

समुझत सरिस नाम अरु नामी। प्रीति परसपर प्रभु अनुगामी।। नाम रूप दुइ ईस उपाधी। अकथ अनादि सुसामुझि साधी।। को बड़ छोट कहत अपराधू। सुनि गुन भेद समुझिहहिं साधू।। देखिअहिं रूप नाम आधीना। रूप ग्यान नहिं नाम बिहीना।। रूप बिसेष नाम बिनु जानें। करतल गत न परहिं पहिचानें।। सुमिरिअ नाम रूप बिनु देखें। आवत हृदयँ सनेह बिसेषें।। नाम रूप गति अकथ कहानी। समुझत सुखद न परति बखानी।। अगुन सगुन बिच नाम सुसाखी। उभय प्रबोधक चतुर दुभाषी।।
When truly understood, the Name and the One who is named are equal. Their mutual love follows the Lord's own nature, each drawn to the other. Name and form are two designations of the Lord, both unspeakable and beginningless. They are realized only through clear, devoted understanding.
