Bharata bows and asks leave. The request is formally complete, but Rama answers with the body before the road can take his brother away.
He draws Bharata into his heart. Command, sandals, kingdom, and fourteen years are gathered for one moment inside an embrace that neither policy nor language can contain.
The people remain restless, and Indra sees another opening for his crooked influence. Yet even the god's opportunism now exists beneath the larger fact of the brothers' love. What heaven tries to use, Rama's grace will bend toward sustaining those who must depart.
At the threshold of separation, Rama lets Bharata feel the place he will continue to occupy: held against the Lord's own heart.

Bowing in farewell, Bharat took his leave; Rama embraced them all to His heart. The people were restless, and Indra, finding this wicked opportunity, seized upon it.
