Sita's father and mother cannot steady themselves. Love has entered the body as anguish, shaking the wisdom of Janaka and the composure of Sunaina.
Their daughter stands before them in bark cloth, carrying the hardship that causes their grief. Yet Dharanisuta, born of the patient earth, becomes the one who gathers courage.
She looks upon the demands of the hour and the sacred duty she has embraced. Her steadiness does not arise from lesser love, but from love disciplined into dharma. Sita bears her parents' sorrow without making them bear her hesitation, holding the moment firm when those who once supported her can no longer support themselves.
When Janaka and Sunaina falter before her forest dress, Earth-born Sita carries the strength of the ground beneath them.

Sita's father and mother, overcome by love, could not steady themselves in their anguish. But Dharanisuta, the Daughter of the Earth, gathered her courage, holding firm to sacred duty and the demands of the hour.
