The citizens do not imagine Rama's reign as the solitary elevation of one beloved figure. Guru, brothers, family, and the whole sacred order must return with him.
Their prayer gathers relationship around kingship. Rama's sovereignty is radiant because it gives every bond its truthful place: Vasishtha guiding, the brothers serving together, Sita sharing the throne, and the city living beneath dharma rather than fear.
If Rama reigns in Ayodhya, the people ask for no distant heaven. Let life complete itself under his protection, and let death arrive only after every true longing has found fulfillment. Their highest political hope and their final spiritual hope have become one image: dwelling in a city governed by the beloved Lord.
For Ayodhya, a life fulfilled and a death without regret both begin beneath Rama's reign among guru, Sita, and brothers.
Read the passage from the Manas
गुर समाज भाइन्ह सहित राम राजु पुर होउ। अछत राम राजा अवध मरिअ माग सबु कोउ।।273।।
May Rama's reign come to the city, together with the guru's assembly and all his brothers. As long as Rama is king of Ayodhya, may everyone depart this life having received all they desire.
