Love for Bharata's Feet Is the Root of Auspiciousness

Brihaspati hears the frightened counsel of the gods and answers from a vision larger than their immediate anxiety. Their thoughts have turned toward Bharata, and this itself is a blessing.
The celestial guru does not praise their strategy, for none has succeeded. He praises their fortune. To feel love for Bharata's feet is to come near the humility, fidelity, and selfless service by which Bharata has become dear to Rama.
From that love, auspiciousness spreads outward like roots hidden beneath the earth, nourishing every visible branch. What the gods feared as their last dependence is revealed as sacred opportunity. In remembering Bharata with devotion, heaven itself enters the current of grace moving through the forest assembly.
Brihaspati reveals that heaven's helpless remembrance of Bharata is not defeat, but the hidden root from which every blessing grows.

सुनि सुर मत सुरगुर कहेउ भल तुम्हार बड़ भागु। सकल सुमंगल मूल जग भरत चरन अनुरागु।।265।।
Hearing the counsel of the gods, the divine guru (Brihaspati) spoke: 'Blessed indeed is your great fortune! Love for Bharata's holy feet is the very root of all auspiciousness in this world.'
