Bharata stands in no private chamber where emotion can shape its own account. Saints surround him. His guru is near. Rama himself listens. Every word is offered in the most searching light.
He claims no authority to certify the purity of his own tears. Love may be true, or self-deception may have clothed itself in love's language. Bharata leaves that judgment to the sages and to Raghurau, who know both the spoken plea and the hidden movement beneath it.
This surrender gives his confession its gravity. He speaks from the heart, yet does not make the heart its own final witness. Before holiness, wisdom, and the indwelling Lord, he allows his deepest feeling to be seen, tested, and known exactly as it is.
Bharata pours out his love but leaves its truth to Rama and the sages who can see beneath every word.

साधु सभा गुर प्रभु निकट कहउँ सुथल सति भाउ। प्रेम प्रपंचु कि झूठ फुर जानहिं मुनि रघुराउ।।261।।
In this sabha of sadhus, near my guru and my Prabhu, I speak with a true and faithful heart. Whether this outpouring of prema is false or genuine, the munis and Raghurau himself know best.
