Sita moves from one mother to another, touching each pair of feet before entering the embrace offered above them.
Love is too full for elaborate speech. Within their hearts, the mothers form the blessing they most desire to place upon her life.
May she remain forever filled with the auspicious fullness of marriage. The prayer rises within a gathering already shadowed by Dasharatha's absence and threatened by years of separation. Precisely there, the women protect Sita's union with Ram through blessing. Their affection becomes a canopy no forest circumstance can remove.
At every mother's feet, Sita receives the same inward prayer: may your life with Ram remain forever whole and auspicious.

लागि लागि पग सबनि सिय भेंटति अति अनुराग।। हृदयँ असीसहिं पेम बस रहिअहु भरी सोहाग।।246।।
Touching each one's feet in turn, Sita met them all with boundless love. In their hearts they blessed her with deep affection: 'May you remain forever full of wedded bliss.'
