Royal Pride Cannot Sour Bharata's Ocean of Milk

Ram refuses even the possibility that sovereignty could intoxicate Bharata. The claim remains true not only for Ayodhya's throne, but for the stations of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
Power may be vast, yet Bharata's nature is vaster. His purity does not survive by avoiding every great responsibility. It remains itself within greatness.
A few drops of sour liquid cannot spoil the immeasurable ocean of milk. The image makes royal pride small without pretending it is harmless to ordinary hearts. In Bharata, however, devotion has the scale and depth of a cosmic sea. The offered crown disappears within it without changing its sweetness.
Against Bharata's oceanic purity, even the highest throne is only a sour drop too small to alter the milk.

भरतहि होइ न राजमदु बिधि हरि हर पद पाइ।। कबहुँ कि काँजी सीकरनि छीरसिंधु बिनसाइ।।231।।
Bharata can never be touched by royal pride, even if he were to attain the throne of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Can a few drops of vinegar ever spoil the vast ocean of milk?
