Bharadvaja Removes Blame from Bharata and Kaikeyi

Bharadvaja asks Bharata not to keep guilt alive within his heart. He has understood his mother's deed, but understanding must now widen beyond accusation.
The sage removes blame even from Kaikeyi. Destiny clouded her speech, confused her judgment, and carried away her good name. She acted within a darkness whose consequences she could not master.
This teaching does not call exile painless or turn suffering into unreality. It interrupts the chain by which every wounded heart seeks another heart to condemn. Bharata need not make himself the cause, and he need not preserve Kaikeyi forever as the cause. Before the sage, fault loosens its grip so that love may act without being secretly governed by vengeance.
Bharadvaja clears guilt from Bharata and blame from Kaikeyi, tracing the calamity to a darkness larger than either heart.

तुम्ह गलानि जियँ जनि करहु समुझी मातु करतूति। तात कैकइहि दोसु नहिं गई गिरा मति धूति।।206।।
Do not burden your heart with guilt, Bharata, now that you understand your mother's actions. Dear child, Kaikeyi bears no blame. It was destiny that clouded her speech, her reason, and her good name.
