The Guru Calls Bharata to the Work of the Hour

The guru asks Bharata to steady his heart. Grief is true, but the present hour has duties that cannot wait for grief to finish.
Bharata hears and rises immediately. The son who spent the night collapsed in guilt now gives orders for every required preparation.
Courage appears not as recovered happiness but as movement under sacred command. Dasharatha's body remains without rites, the kingdom without a ruler, and the household without direction. Bharata does not need inward peace before he begins. He places his pain beneath the guru's word and stands.
At Vasishtha's command, Bharata rises from the night of lament and lets duty move the body grief has emptied.

तात हृदयँ धीरजु धरहु करहु जो अवसर आजु। उठे भरत गुर बचन सुनि करन कहेउ सबु साजु।।169।।
"Dear son, hold firm courage in your heart, and do what this moment demands." Hearing the Guru's words, Bharat rose at once and gave orders for all preparations to begin.
