Ram moves along the road like the sun of the Raghu lotus, opening joy wherever his light reaches. No proclamation precedes him. The simple fact of his presence fulfills eyes and awakens affection.

Sita and Lakshmana walk with him as forest, village, and open country pass around their small company. Each place receives them briefly, then watches the figures travel onward.

Grace is distributed through movement. Ram does not remain for the roadside people to build a shrine around the moment. He gives happiness while passing, teaching hearts to receive radiance without holding the sun in one place. The wilderness ahead becomes the next field of his quiet giving.

Walking onward with Sita and Lakshmana, Ram opens human hearts as sunlight opens lotuses along its course.

Read the passage from the Manas

एहि बिधि रघुकुल कमल रबि मग लोगन्ह सुख देत। जाहिं चले देखत बिपिन सिय सौमित्रि समेत।।122।।

In this way, the sun of the Raghu dynasty gave joy to the people along the road, and traveled on, beholding the forests, together with Sita and Lakshmana.
